We are looking to add a stellar Backend Engineer to our fast growing team at CoInvent AI. You must be passionate about solving real-world challenges with cutting-edge AI solutions.
The founders have built the backend so far. You’ll be the first backend hire and have the opportunity to build a lot of the backend technology, including many parts of the AlphaTravel reasoning engine. You will gain invaluable experience working with a Generative-AI-native stack.
Work on our AlphaTravel AI engine:
Make defining contributions to AlphaTravel, our proprietary travel AI tech that is redefining travel planning.
Develop new functionality and user flows, add new agents and variables, fine-tune existing agents, build constrained optimizers, optimize the entire graph and add explainability.
Improve the state-of-the-art for multivariate AI reasoning, building the best travel AI engine to ever exist.
Solve incredible challenging and interesting applied AI problems.
Develop and integrate exciting AI-powered features:
Work with multiple external APIs to scrape web data and provide seamless, powerful experiences for our users.
Enrich Airial Travel with new capabilities and features that surprise and delight travellers at every step.
Optimize performance and user workflows:
Solve complex workflow challenges involving multi-step user tasks, dependencies, and resource management.
Optimize latency, accuracy and cost of a state-of-the-art Gen AI-native codebase.
Problem-solving excellence and proficiency with python will be tested in the interview.
There will be a Gen AI-native interview where you will solve a challenging problem using LLMs as building blocks. We will provide plenty of instructions beforehand to prepare for this.
This is a fully remote job in India.
The founders are based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The joining date is February 2025 or March 2025.
Must-haves:
• Proficiency in backend software engineering and python.
• Strong grasp of asynchronous programming and the ability to write performant, optimized code.
• Strong understanding of AI fundamentals. A desire to learn state-of-the-art AI techniques.
Good to have:
• Background in competitive programming (ICPC or similar) and sharp problem-solving skills.
• Experience building applied AI/ML solutions.
• 2+ years of work experience.
